spaghetti with meat sauce

ingredients

2 qt water
8 oz spaghetti
2 tbsp Mrs. Dash Classic
  Italiano Seasoning Blend
1/2 lb ground beef
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup diced onion
1/2 cup green pepper
3 tbsp Mrs. Dash Garlic
& Herb Seasoning Blend
1 tbsp Mrs. Dash Extra Spicy
  Seasoning Blend
14 1/2 oz can no salt-added
  diced tomatoes
1 cup water
8 oz can regular tomato sauce
2 tsp brown sugar

instructions

Bring water to a boil in 4-qt pan. Add Mrs. Dash Classic Italiano
and spaghetti, cook 10 to 12 minutes or as indicated on package.
Drain; set aside. Brown meat over medium heat in 4-qt Dutch oven.
Discard drippings, setting meat aside. Add olive oil, onions, green
peppers and Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb to pan. Cook 5 to 7 minutes.
Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and water to hot pan. Stir in the
remaining Mrs. Dash. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Stir in sugar. Stir
in reserved meat. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for 15
minutes. Serve over spaghetti. Calories, 204; fat, 6 g; sodium, 290 mg.

tuscan chicken and beans

ingredients

1 15 oz can Northern Beans (undrained)
1 to 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
3 tbsp chopped sundried tomatoes
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Cooking spray
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

instructions

Separate the green leaves from the rosemary stems; discard the
stems. Chop leaves to equal 2 tsp (or use 3/4 tsp dried rosemary).
Cut chicken into bite size pieces. Wash hands. Preheat large nonstick
skillet on medium-high heat for 1 to 2 minutes. Spray pan with cooking
spray. Using tongs, add chicken to pan, sprinkle with rosemary, salt
and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally or until no longer
pink. Add Northern Beans, sundried tomatoes and broth. Heat to a
boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes. Spoon
into bowls; top with the broth.
